This collection of wall pieces is made from rope and reflective material. They can be seen as three-dimensional illustrations, made to hang on the wall. These wall pieces are the result of an ongoing research, where I am developing new techniques to shape the rope in unexpected ways and give it a new visual identity. I am drawn to this material because it can be soft and flexible, like fabric, but also structured and fixed. This combination makes it interesting to shape and transform. The project started with jewellery, where I experimented with the combination of rope, beads, leather, and sequins to create earrings. Over time, my focus expanded to more abstract objects, like these wall pieces.
